The seminar was jointly organised by the Department of Humanities – Pavia University (Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici – Università di Pavia), by the National Early Childhood Education and Care Association (Gruppo Nazionale Nidi e Infanzia) and by ZeroSeiUp training and consultancy.
The aim of the seminar was to promote the professional development of early years and primary school teachers in relation to the theme of educational continuity, which is currently at the core of the political and pedagogical debate in Italy due to the recent national reform on the integration of 0-3 and 3-6 services under the Ministry of Education (L. 107/2015, lett. e, com. 181). The project START was presented as an example of collaborative inquiry – involving practitioners, teachers and academic researchers – aimed at improving educational continuity practices across ECEC and compulsory school through action-research and pedagogical experimentation.
